Gail qualified as a Speech-Language Therapist and Audiologist from the University of Pretoria in 2010. She received the SASLHA (South African Speech Language and Hearing Association) award for best student in clinical audiology in 2010. She thereafter obtained a Master of Communication Pathology in Speech Therapy from the University of 

Gail qualified as a Speech-Language Therapist and Audiologist from the University of Pretoria in 2010. She received the SASLHA (South African Speech Language and Hearing Association) award for best student in clinical audiology in 2010. She thereafter obtained a Master of Communication Pathology in Speech Therapy from the University of Pretoria in 2016. The dissertation is entitled ‘Tone variation in Tswana-speaking individuals: The effect of voice disorders’ and since has two published articles relating to the topic. She has a special interest in treating individuals with voice disorders.  

Gail completed her year of Community Service in 2011 at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH), where she continued to work until 2021. The years of work within the Public Health sector opened up various opportunities for her to not only develop clinical skills in treating a very wide range of medical pathologies within the adult population, but also to gain experience in training university students and speech therapy colleagues. The provision of low-technology and high-technology Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is an area of special interest. 

In 2021, Gail entered the private sector where she worked as a speech-language therapist treating adult patients at McCulloch Harrison and Partners (Rehab Matters) within the acute hospitals and sub-acute rehabilitation settings.

In February 2023 Gail opened her own practice at Morehill Rehabilitation Clinic, which services adult in-patients and out-patients with various neurologically acquired conditions and swallowing disorders. She is passionate about providing services that are patient-centered and facilitate functional outcomes and participation. The practice is slowing expanding and has recently employed an additional full-time therapist to assist with a growing caseload.
